The Sumy patch from RaccoonMerch is made of dense PVC and follows the outline of the city together with its street grid, rivers, and ponds. The dark map with maroon blocks and an orange border line looks restrained, while the blue patches of water bring it to life. The name is written in large letters with a white outline, so it stays legible even from a distance. Sumy region lies in the north-east of the country near the border, and since the start of the full-scale war people here know well what an alert means, yet the city learned to go on living and to support its own. This patch is about exactly that quiet stubbornness, without loud words or pathos. The velcro backing lets you quickly move the patch from a backpack to a bag or armor, and at home hang it on a patch panel. It is a good way to carry the memory of your hometown with you or to give to someone for whom Sumy is home.
