The Mariupol patch from RaccoonMerch is made of dense PVC and follows the outline of the city with its street grid, blocks, and small bodies of water. The dark background, maroon districts, and orange border line give it a restrained tactical look, while white road lines keep the map readable even on a small area. The name of the city is written in large letters with a white outline that is easy to see from afar. Mariupol stands on the shore of the Sea of Azov, and in spring 2022 its defense became one of the hardest pages of this war. We added no loud words to the design: only the map and the name, which everyone reads through their own memory and with respect for everyone who went through this city. The back has a velcro attachment, so the patch can be fixed to a backpack, a bag, armor, or a patch panel without sewing. It is a way to carry the memory of your hometown with you or to give to someone for whom Mariupol is home.
